Introduction

At Clay, I contributed to the frontend delivery of Vantara’s website — an immersive digital platform for the animal rescue, conservation, and rehabilitation center in Jamnagar, India. The experience brings together storytelling, 3D landscapes, scientific context, and an adaptable design system.

Challenges

An interactive map for every connection

At the heart of the Vantara experience is an interactive map that brings the territory, animal habitats, and research zones to life through video. My role was to make video loading for this module reliable across all network conditions, including 2G connections that remain widespread across India, so the experience stays accessible without losing its visual impact.

Navigation

Blur without the performance cost

I was responsible for implementing Vantara’s navigation across desktop and mobile. The main challenge was supporting its translucent blur effect over constantly changing imagery and video without compromising the performance of the rest of the site. The final implementation keeps the navigation clear and responsive while preserving smooth scrolling and interaction.

Modular system

Built at scale

The Vantara website was built from more than 30 unique sections and over 100 unique components. Together, they form a flexible frontend system capable of supporting the platform’s broad mix of editorial, educational, and interactive content while keeping the experience consistent and maintainable.

Final thoughts

A platform that inspires

The finished platform gives Vantara’s mission a calm, credible digital home. It moves beyond presentation to support learning, connect a global audience with the center’s work, and express care, science, and conservation through one cohesive experience.
